Where to buy a decent used road/racing bike

I have a hybrid and got slick tyres for and clip pedals which I use for the daily commute in central london on which it does its job pretty well.

But on the weekend on longer rides the gearing is not long enough and I feel a road/racing bike would be better suited, I would spend about £300/ £400, I have been looking on gumtree and ebay but I dont think there are many used bikes out there?

Am I missing a really good site for used bikes?

try the back of cycling weekly, there have been some awesome bargains in there over the last two months...
