4.2 oil filter canister

The one have just removed was Land Rover part ERR 3340, the new one I have just been sent is a Unipart GFE 422 canister. If you compare the two the Land Rover filter is taller.

Any opinions, would you favour a larger or smaller filter?

Oil filter is Rover V8 - check cross ref charts online.

In general terms, bigger is better when it comes to oil filters. Larger area for filtering = better filter that willlast longer.
