Afternoon, well I've found the tomtom I want, the new xxl 5" touch screen jobby. Go to the Halfords site, it's something in the region of £260.00, go to the main tomtom site and it's about £199 (or something like that, either way, it's far cheaper). But, buying from the tomtom site, are they all good to go straight out the box for english use? I don't want to buy one and then find it's all in German or anything weird like that.

Advice?

I got a 950 straight from TT - it was a suitable uk market product which was good to go on arrival.

I thought the 5" XXL would take up too much space on the windscreen.

Cheers for that.

Made a template of screen size, looks fine tucked away bottom right hand corner of windscreen, I think.

£153 on amazon for standard edition XL (with IQ routes) or £167 for the XL Live version.

ETA oops just re-read it, it was the XXL version - £205 on amazon. You cant buy the XXL from tomtom only from online retailers....

You sure you can't buy direct from tomtom?

yep, look at the page you linked to. The 'buy now' icon is missing, the only link they provide is 'where to buy', click that it takes you to links for online stores, retailers and distributors. As far as I can tell this is the only tomtom you cant buy direct from them.

You're absolutely right. Weird.
