All marques Ace Cafe meet - Monday April 12th 2010

Finally March's meet gave us some good weather and of course we had a great response from everyone. We had a steady stream of cars coming in from as early as 6pm and once again a great night was had by all.

Highlights included 2 LP 670SV's, a McLaren SLR, a few other Lamborghinis, a number of Ferraris, assorted Porsches, TVR's, Loti ( )and associated cars. Thank you to everyone who made the effort to come down.

We also had a visit from the guys at Lotus HQ who are hosting the Pistonheads weekend at Lotus on May 8th and 9th. If you're not aware of this event, where have you been? - the link is here http://www.petrolheadnirvana.com/tours/2010/lotus_...

So, to April and the only meet prior to our first tour of 2010, the B.A.S.E. Tour taking in the Millau Bridge and the fantastic but little known MtVentoux

The main point of the Ace meets is to chat and relax in the company of fine cars and friendly people........April's meet is just after Easter so when you've had enough of your family (or when they've had enough of you!) remember that there really is no better way of spending the evening of the Second Monday of the month than in the company of your friends. And if you've not been down before, well it's about time you came and joined us isn't it?

Ace Corner is the junction of Beresford Avenue and the old North Circular Road, between the A40 and the A404 (Harrow Road).

Travelling anti-clockwise on the North Circular Road: Take the second exit - signposted for Park Royal - after the traffic lights at Brentfields Road (where you'll see Ikea and McDonalds) . Turn right, then right again onto the old North Circular Road. The Ace is 100 yards on the left.

I went to the meet at the Ace for the first time last month and even tho it was a tad chilly, it was a good laugh and some rather tasty exotica there. Remember, the clocks go forward this sat/sunday - so we'll have a bit more light in the evening.
Come down if you can - even if it's just to see the hoodies popping wheelies on their 50cc peds......!
