Rally cars for sound recording
Discussion
Hi
I've posted on here a few times before - I run a company that produces sound effects for video games. I'm after some rally cars are various shapes and sizes to record in a few weeks' time, probably at a venue near Wakefield in West Yorkshire. Anyone up for it? I won't bore you with the details right now but we want everything from a 1600 up to 2.0 litre turbo. Get in touch: jerry@mediamill.co.uk
Cheers

Hiya
Sound fantastic but the cars we're after have to roughly fit into the current WRC classes:
4 cylinder 2.0 litre turbo (as loud as possible)
As above but less manic
4 cylinder 2.0 litre normally aspirated
1600 normally aspirated
For the first two, we're looking at the usual suspects: Imprezas and Evos. Maybe a Celica GT or similar?
The last two classes are more open, but loud and fairly high revving!

Have you thought of going to the Harewood Hill Climb - only about 20 miles from you.
Big meet on the 28th March with plenty of quick machinery, suitably loud...

Lots of friendly owners who will probably fire up and rev for you if asked nicely. Or stand by the start line with a directional mic, you can get quite close.
edit : just realised that's a members day only, but you might get lucky if you ask / pay...

Should be a few that will fit your Naturally aspirated bill at the Rally I'm at tomorrow

Not a full on stage rally, but it's a Historic Road Rally and there will be plenty to listen to on the special tests.
