Evening all

we took the tiles off the wall around our upvc door, and got the wall skimmed.

where the door met the wall, a strip had been glued to neaten it up (see pics below)

but now the tiles have gone, there is a lot of exposed gap!

My question is: can anyone tell me where I can buy this strip? so I can replace it all?

I've looked around DIY stores, but can't seem to see anything that resembles it!

cheers

I think your better off taking all the existing trim off and starting again, i find Wickes to be good for the upvc stuff, should get enough trim to do around the door for about £15

The trim is commonly referred to as 'd' mould , trade price is about 50p per metre . Look on google for upvc trim suppliers in your area . Quadrant looks better if you are replacing it all

Surprisingly, DIY stores don't seem to sell it. Try your local double-glazing manufacturer.

I find that sometimes the 1" flat strip works best, sometimes a quadrant. They should also be able to sell you the sealant to stick it in place.

cheers for the answers guys

I was going to replace it all, but just needed to find it first

I thought I'd looked pretty carefully, as it doesn't strike me as something that's rare, but must have missed it

will have a look this weekend

thanks

We get ours from Eurocell but not sure if they are trade only. Any PVCu window company should be able to sell you a few lengths though

I got 2 x 5m lengths and two tubes of sealant for £15 from mine. Compared to B&Q prices I was very happy!

right

popped to Wickes and found the quadrant stuff - right next to a huge rack of D-strip!

only problem is, now I don't have an excuse not to sort the door out...

cheers
