Sub £100 Printers

Does anyone know of any sub £100 (willing to go a little higher for the right one though) printers that would be good for infrequent use?

At the moment I have an all singing, all dancing, cheap one, which came with the computer when I brought it, but its no good at singing and the dancing is dreadful!

Basically as I only use it every so often the nozzles dry up and then when I do eventually get round to using it I spend ages getting it to work again!

Basically my requirements for it would be that it needs to be able to be left for a few weeks without drying up, but still be able to print out some good quality photos, I would like to print out some photos onto glossy paper at some point as well.

Although not a must (the others come first on the needs basis) I have seen a few printers where you can slot or plug your digital camera into them and load your images up and print them without even turning on the computer, something with this would be pretty good as well. The prices on the ones like this I have seen though are pretty high.

I bought an Epson SX515W from Tesco recently. It seems perfect for my usage and with wireless it can sit out of sight.
Even wireless scanning works. Print quality is good as is scan quality. Ink cartridges are not too expensive.

All for £70 bargain.

Canon, every time. Best quality and cheapest refills, and the purchase prices are generally very good value.

My Pixma can go months without use and has not clogged up in the 3 years I've had it. I'd guess 4 months is the longest I've left it

The wireless/scanning version comes in slightly over your budget though

Another vote here for the Canon. I buy dozens of printers and for occasional use the Canon is King. The main pain it has when used a lot is it's damn service call.

Definitely head for your nearest Tesco as mentioned previously - HP seem to be great value for infrequent use and there are plenty of online cartridge places if you're concerned about paying through the nose. I bought the previous HP model to this one and haven't needed a refill in 2yrs despite printing photos, maps etc. Still on the original cartridges.
