Last Call: PH Lotus Tour 8-9 May

Time is running out to join us as we tour Norfolk's finest

Who would have thoight that Norfolk has so much to offer? Well, with a little help from PistonHeads driving tour partner and Lotus Cars it seems that the East Anglian countryside can offer PHers all they need for a fantastic weekend away.

Many of you have already booked up to join us, but for those that are yet to do so this is your final call as the last few spaces remain available.

Although we promoted this tour at the beginning of the year, here are the details for those that might have missed it.

It's quiet in Norfolk
It's quiet in Norfolk
Day one: We meet at the Lotus facilities in Hethel, Norfolk, at midday when the friendly guys at Lotus HQ take us on a full guided tour of the factory so you can see just how some of the best handling cars in the world are put together. After the tour we'll be spending approximately half an hour on track in a current production Lotus. First you will get to drive with expert instruction provided by a Lotus test driver, and then they'll demonstrate in a few hot laps what the cars are actually capable of! The day ends with a short drive to a wonderful country house hotel where a fine dinner is provided, drinks are consumed, and beds are welcomed!

Day two: After breakfast (full English, naturally) we are met by more Lotus test drivers before they lead us on a morning tour of their favourite local roads - the very roads where the suspension of each new Lotus model is fine-tuned before production. The morning ends with tea and cakes on the Norfolk coast, with ample opportunity to discuss the morning's antics.

Spaces on the tour are offered at £297 per person including factory tour, track time in a new Lotus, dinner/bed/breakfast in a country house hotel, and morning refreshments at the drive out on Sunday morning.

We hope that you will be able to join us! For more details and to book either call the guys at Petrolhead Nirvana on 0845 838 7363 or visit the website

Saw this before and was sorely tempted... Hmmm... Worth being £300 overdrawn for?

I think it's definately worth it. Assuming one can find spare time to go.

I was sorely tempted by this as it's not everyday you get to play on the Lotus test track but instead I blew my cash on the Highlands tour!

Assuming a few people will be travelling from down south it would be rude not to do a bit of a run of to Hethel, we'll sort the details nearer the time.

This tour is now full, for anyone coming up from the South we'll be meeting at South Mimms services ready to leave at 9.30am

We need to be at Lotus around Midday so we'll be taking a straighforward route M25, M11, All A14 etc to Hethel

Anyone coming on the tour who wants to join the informal convoy is more than welcome to meet us at the services. Try and fuel up before meeting us in the car park so we can all leave together.

Tiger Two and Ben will be in the Audi S4 support car with Petrolhead Nirvana written on the side
I'll be in the red 360 Spider so come and say hello... we promise to be friendly!
