Super sleuth or super cynical busybody?
Discussion
Sat in a maccas carpark in east London and witness the following:
guy turns up in merc and waits. Guy turns up in Citroën c4 and he nad merc guy meet in middle of carpark where 2 small boxes are exchanged for cash.
Big deal you say. But wait, says I. Let's put some meat on these bones of a scenario.
The Merc is a black SLK with a small pink fluffy toy on the dash board. The guy driving it is a 6'2 behemoth with a pony tail, wearing steel caps, very greasy trousers and a mercedes dealership mechanics issue jumper. Hmmm.
C4 guy is in very greasy top to toe back street garage issue overalls and the boxes exchanged are the type car parts are often supplied in - plain White, dirty with non descript printed labels. From the exchange of cash I estimate about 80-140 quid was swapped for them.
So now things look less innocent. Now my mind is Clueso mode and I see this:
back street mechanic needs parts but either doesn't want to pay full whack or can't be supplied by merc or isnt vat regd. Rings up mate at merc garage. Merc mate gets parts from stores for a job (that someone will be charged for) but they don't get fitted, they go in his coat pocket. He grabs keys to a lady's slk and says he's test driving it. Meets c4 guy in maccas carpark and makes a tidy tonne in his lunch break.
C4 guy gets his parts.
All guesswork and conjecture, but the odour of the rodent was rife.

- iPhone screwed up, hence Citroen badge in post.
- I somehow thought Clouseau in my head and mixed it up with Cluedo, the boring yet popular board game.
- I had forgotten my DNA swab kit and magnifying glass, so regrettfully couldn't conduct as thorough an investigation as I would have liked.
- Simpo, youre now under suspicion also. What kind of overalls were you wearing for this exchange? Speak loudly and clearly, for the tape please.
- This hasn't been taken up with the enthusiasm I'd hoped.

Tbh I'm not really fussed about grassing him up. I could be wrong, it could have been kosher. It was just interesting trying to disect the event whilst eating my Chicken Legend meal. I might stick my oar in though if some bird posts to say "I was charged by dealer for new "x" but none were fitted".
