ms access in midlands

looking to win some work and the legalities mean a hosted web app is no go - hence next step is offer MS access. Which i dont have time to learn indepth

initial reqs are multiple logins with minimum 2 levels of security, users assigned customers, some screen to capture financial sales and customer questionaire info, dropdowns with lookups, pdf reporting by user/customer/questionaire/month/ytd

I'd be building it in MS Access interfacing to a SQL Server Express Database http://www.microsoft.com/express/database/ rather than access tables ( a MDB) you can run it on a XP or higher PC to act as a server

I don't program, but I had the (mis)fortune of being responsible for a bunch of access DBs them...... and got my analysts to code them for SQL to gain reliability

sql server is my bread and butter so no prob there...

Just found out the issues -
Basically a questionaire for sales
no data to be held externlly (their IT rules) so no web pages/db
sites thru the UK, no linked network/shared drives
THe PC's are locked down so dubious if they have traditional desktop, probably citrix.
Takes 3 months to get IT to look at any new projects
They want it by May

then why not host website intenally?

because it takes 3 months to get their IT (based in France)to do anything except break/fix - otherwise their IT would do this project. I doubt we can drop a virtual iis server in or host on their desktop(data loss risk aside...)
