Does anyone else find that "Full BMW Service History" normally means "random service history, occasionally at BMW"?

I've been looking at quite a few cars, both private and trade sales. All seem to have FBMWSH until I look into it and find that firstly, they don't have full service histories at all, and secondly, it's not always at BMW garages.

I can understand people keeping cars within the delaership network for either 4 years or 60,000 miles, but after than I just don't see the point. What matters is bills, receipts and invoices.....not just a stamp in a box....and a number of MOT certificates help too!

Specialists, especially those with a good reputation are worth a great deal more regarding a full inpsection before buying than a book with 8 stamps from many clueless BMW main dealers.

Yeah most BMWs sold by hexagon, munich legends and classic heroes etc when you look into their service history of their very expensive cars you will see gaps in the service history or the services are not in the correct order. Yet they want top money when a simple thing like service history isn’t pukka.

I'm guessing the original issue has probably resolved itself after 11 years - it was either knackered back then, or knackered by now!
