Not sure if this or a lotus forum is the best place to start....

My missus has always said she'd like to do a track day, and thinks lotuses (loti?) would be fun to do it in.

So, is there anything where a pair of track newbies can rock up, be taught how to drive on track in a pair of elises or similar lotuses, and generally have a fun day out blasting around. Sort of like the Red letter day experiences without the lame 2 laps only, not over 100rpm or 10mph nonsense.

Can anyone point me in the right sort of direction?

Thanks in advance!

might be a good place to start looking. although i bet there are cheaper days if you really like lotus then they also include the factory tour in the prices.

Give Stephen at Track club a call, he has a number of loti, in various forms, and am sure would be happy to put something together for you.

If you find yourself on the continent & want to do the truely epic Spa Francorchamps or Nurburging Nordschleife get in touch with RSR. They have a bunch of drive & instruction packages with their Lotus fleet & you can use the cars 'properly'.

Is also a fairly obvious place to start. Very friendly, well priced, but a highly professional organisation. A great bunch of guys to chat with get help, advice and tuition throughout the day, as well

Check our www.bathperformancecars.co.uk.

We run a S2 Elise, along with two Westfields. If you wanted to share the Elise for a day you would both get lots of track time, and once we're satisfied that you're competent you can take the car out yourself(ves). We use airfield days so there's less to hit if you do get it wrong. Would be great for two of you starting off.

The days run in Wiltshire and Oxon.

Feel free to PM me if you want more info!

Wharever you end up doing you will love it, and beware - can be the start of an expensive hobby!

LOT don't rent cars out, which is what the OP is looking for I think?

Track Club as already suggested.

Booked an airfield day with Cavey's lot on the 17th April. Should be a nice surprise for the missus!

Excellent, enjoy yourselves. Your next step is to hire a Caterham.

Not sure where in the UK you are but www.carlimits.com do training days and activity days in Essex. They aren't a track day as such but great for a hoon.
They also hire cars...

Really, really looking forward to it. It's a surprise for the missus, so hopefully she'll be thrilled as its something shes wanted to do for ages.
