Well, got up after my last nightshift around 11am today. Out to the garage, check all the levels on the Wedge. Fired the beast up and wheeled it out.... A wee wash and a buff up and out for it's first run of 2010...

Everyone looked round to see what and where the noise was coming from... It was my TIV Wedgie.... All shiney and noisey and in severe need of jungle juice..

Fueled up and out for a long blast.... A (touching wood when i say this) Faultless blast.

Love it...

Sad to think i'm considering selling it... Then i jump in it, smell the leather, the old car fuel, oil and general old car smells and i think.. Just keep it.. Then you fire it up and drive it and yes it isn't a Datsun 350z or a something equally as modern, but it has character and a presence that nothing else really has....

Watch this space....

Mine's a daily driver so I've done some hard time over the winter with it in the cold & the rain. Just starting to enjoy some milder top off journeys. Beginning to appreciate the whole package, got some niggles sorted. Enjoying getting 'drunk' on the sound & the shove in the back when it comes on cam. cloud9

Roll on summer. driving

Daily Driver... I presently run a 350z GT4 and a UK Scoob WRX as daily drivers.. It would be financial suicide to run the Beast on a daily basis too..... Once or twice a week and thats only if the weather's ok... and i only work approx 6 miles from the house.

I've bought a more senisble car with a nice sensible Diesel engine, hopefully get it next week so the Scoobs going (i hate tire kickers). As for the GT4, thats my idea of a reliable modern day TVR...Not as noisey though.. Its the wifes car, so its's always going to be quiet.. Dammed!!!!

I've had my 350i for about a month now, and it's my only car so also my daily driver.

I still sometimes go out to the garage just to look at it and get that old car smell in my nostrils, I love it!

I only live six or seven miles from work so fuel consumption not that big a deal and I don't do enough other miles to justify running another (boring) car!

Be brave, sell everything else and just drive the Wedge! biggrin

I agree with you. My one was a poster car when i was a kid in the 80's and now i own it.. It always brings a smile to my face when i go out to the garage.
When people see whats in the garage they stand in amazement at first - then say.. Is it an old Ferrari or Lotus.. Because of the wedge shape and bonnet vents..
(clearly not car folk asking a stupid question) Then i say TVR, you always an ahhh, can i hear it running.
Of course you can...

Haha, yeah the noise...! cool

Mine has certainly attracted a lot of attention from friends, neighbours, work colleagues, passers by and other motorists!

Quite a few people have asked how much it cost and can't beleive such a car can be bought for so little! smile

Cripes! I used my 350i as a daily driver doing 140 miles a day back and forth from Ipswich!

Every 9 weeks was an oil change...

I think that's brilliant, and I doff my cap to you sir!

I often wish that I did live further from work, by the time time my engine is warmed up enough to open it up properly I'm in a line of traffic and then at home, so I sometimes put an extra ten miles or so on the journey just for the sake of driving it! driving
