power steering

as my earlier post i am planning a power steering conversion at sensible money. I have opted for the part electric route and have bought a citreon saxo pump (as used on the speed 6 cars) but cannt get a second hand power steering rack. the usual scrappies dont have any nor do any of the indies, that they are prepared to part with anyway. dont want to pay £700 for a new one. does anyone have one up for grabs they want to move on?

don't know if you have looked at using an assisted steering column, that way you could use your non pas rack

That,s the way I wiold go.

Simply put, cut out the center section of your existing column and insert Corsa trickery, (very simply put!).

By the way, who is selling new P/S racks for £700?

HCM - either TVR power or racing green - can't remember which i just did a google search and it came up.

the corsa solution looks really good - just want to make sure I have the space for it

-has anyone done this before and is it easy or one of those supposed to easy but actually completely impossible ones?
