Automated phone call

Has anyone else had an automated phone call that says "don't hang up this is a Govenment sponsored call" and goes on about a Debt relief order???????

Thats random! About 30 secs ago I had that exact call, my home phone has been unplugged for months, plugged it back in last night. I just hung up after "do not hang up".

I get these quite regularly....but helpfully, if I'm out, it'll leave a nice message that fills my answer machine. Pain in the RS!

Whoever it is that sets up those calls is surely the most pathetic creature on this planet.

arent they something to do with reclaiming debts? seems to be ome new thing about all debts from a certain time were unlawful and can be claimed back
