Problem with dipped beam....

....In that it's not working...

This little green wire has come out but when I poke it back in the lights dont work.



Please could someone tell me whether this green wire is supposed to be live or not.

The green wire is the feed from the ignition so I'd hazard a guess that it should be 12v but only if the ignition is on. Either that or it gets pulled to earth when the ignition is on.

I think its a ignition live for main beam after looking at the wiring diagram but not 100% sure

I had a problem with my dipped beam and it was a different unit. It was the lighting unit, sometimes they carbon up and the terminals need a clean but mine was completely burnt out. Could be your unit works when you put the green wire back but the other unit is faulty.

If you find it needs repairing i can recommend the guy who repaired mine, £50 and about 10day turn around, mail me and i'll give you his number, he was reccomended by TVR power.

I have no solved it! The little plug that the green wire goes into was not connecting properly with the terminal on the switching box so I have cut it out and put a wire straight onto it. It is a bit of a botch job, I need a new connecting block at some stage.
