The heavy-lift AC313 helicopter, built by the state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China (Avic), can carry 27 passengers or up to 13.8 tonnes.

Its test flight - broadcast live on China Central Television on Thursday - was hailed as a "breakthrough in domestic aviation technology", it added.

Super Frelon:

Familiar?

The Super Frelon has also been licence-produced in China for years, so not exactly a surprise that the Chinese have been heavily influenced by (i.e. ripped off) its design. I wonder how many parts are totally indigenous in origin?

It's all state owned and it's tricky to sue a state, especially when :-

a) They have nuclear weapons.
b) They finance much of the recession hit west.
c) They are the home of many of the world's virus/spam/trojans/DoS attacks/security breaches and likely to use that massive resource to target anyone asking if they have the rights to blatantly copy their products.
d) They also have nuclear weapons.

Exactly. Until the West decides to invest in it's own manufacturing, it has no one but itself to blame. Thieving little rip off merchants.

Yep. Get all the world's cash, be unaccountable to anyone, and then do what the hell you like. That sounds like a recipe for success to me.

And the lefties that cripple us whine about the British Empire!?
