o2 activation

I've been sent a new SIM from o2 and it's been sitting in my phone for about 12 hours and not activated. A '3' network SIM activated in about an hour. Do o2 SIMs activate automatically?

I think you get sent an text message when activated, you could try ringing the number on here - http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE...

Yes, it's a contract rather than PAYG SIM. I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow. Thanks, anyway.

It can take 24 hours. Also leave the phone switched off & just try switching it on periodically. If its not active then switch it off again & try later.

Someone had a similar issue the other day on the O2 Forum - could be worth a look tomorrow if the SIM doesn't sort itself out...
