MP3 Naming/ID3 tags
Discussion
I have renamed it, tried dragging it... it just won't go into itunes. It goes into Winamp fine and appears on Sonos fine, just not itunes.
In Winamp it has all of the ID3 data correctly displayed, but in Windows 7, it has no detail at all other than the track name.
Very strange.
Everything else (i.e. all other MP3's) are behaving properly.
It does sound a bit strange - maybe itunes mistakenly believes it to be a corrupt file?
I suppose you could try converting it to another file type which itunes can handle (e.g. AAC) and then import that instead? Course that would mean another stage of lossy conversion, but transcoding MP3s won't make a massive difference to SQ.

Use this: http://cuemaster.org/tidymp3.html
...on that one file (not your entire library - just drag and drop the one file into the *.exe), which will remove all the junk/id tags/etc and leave you with a "clean" file...
Drag that into iTunes, then fill in the tag data, or use mp3tag on it first to update the tags, then drag into iTunes...

That won't run on my Windows 7 (64bit) for some reason. Flashes up and then disappears........on that one file (not your entire library - just drag and drop the one file into the *.exe), which will remove all the junk/id tags/etc and leave you with a "clean" file...

I've sent the file to Meanie - I'll let you know what happens!

Just drag the *.mp3 file onto the tidymp3.exe icon...

Tidymp3 reduced the MP3 from 7MB to 480k and made it unplayable. I kept a copy because I had just sent it to Meanie, so it was in my sent file on my mailbox. I've just restored it.
More peculiar than ever!

I can honestly say that that has NEVER happened to any of my mp3s...
Very worrying!!
Glad it's sorted though!
Me either. it's an odd one, certainly. I'm having a look at the file now to see if there is anything specific.
ETA... It doesn't even have the .mp3 data when you look at a simple thing like the file info...
Where did you get the file from, NDA? The extra data on the file is a worry.

Was it 'obtained' online?
Edited to remove email address from file info box!
