Hi there guys this is going to be a long shot but I need some help regarding the compatibility of certain Toyota and Lexus gearboxes and bell housings for my Dax Rush kit build. I know all the in's and out's when it comes to VW and Audi but I'm out of my league completely when it comes to the Jap stuff.

1st Question:
Take a look at this picture http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v509/flash319/DS... and see if you can tell me which gearbox it is and what vehicle it comes from.

2nd Question:
Can anyone tell me if the bell housing from that gearbox will fit onto the 6 speed Lexus IS200 gearbox?
I know the bell housing will fit the 5 speed mk3 Supra gearbox but I would like to use the 6 speed if possible.

My build is using the Audi 1.8L 20v turbo engine from a TT which I know inside and out but raises the obvious problem of VW or Audi don't make a rear wheel drive gearbox! also most of the ford gearboxes won't survive the 350-400bhp I'm going to put through it! I have found an adapter kit from a company in America that fits the VAG 4 cylinder engine to a Mk3 Toyota Supra 5 speed geabox but this raised another problem that the Supra box's bell housing would mount the starter motor in exactly the same place as my oil filter housing which obviously isn't going to work but the bell housing in the picture looks to be a mirror image of the Supra bell housing which will be perfect.

Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Matt.

Thats a 4wd gearbox probably hilux maybe cruiser, which is I think the same as the R154 3.0L Turbo 88'ish era Supra

IS200 box is for the 1G engine which I believe is the same pattern as other fwd Toyota bellhousings.

The box in the picture looks pretty similar to an R154 (88-92 Supra turbo 5spd box), with an extra gearstick (presumably for the 4WD gubbins). There is a forum called Toymods, I think it's australian, that know every possible permutation of Toyota bits and pieces. I would post your question on there as they will give you a definitive answer.

Presumably the same box in the Altezza version which has a 3S-GE so thats likely.
