What happens in an empty car park!
Discussion
Exactly the same thing happened to mine, it even looks like the same damage it brought back horrible
memories. I think it was a land rover discovery that hit mine pulling in to the space next to me, why is it M3's are magnets for p**ck's that cant drive. Hope you get it sorted soon it cost me £150.00 for the repair and I'm near Bath.

I suffered the same damage to my passenger door by some festive f
kwit between Xmas and new year.
No appology or details left. No witnesses and "that part of the carpark isn't covered by CCTV"
I think people still see M3s as something flash, and their jealous logic sees the damage as some kind of social revenge, and their brains think it's ok not to own up. Woman at work came out with some kind of "Well if you will buy cars like that!" nonsence when mine was damaged.
Gutted for the OP

Thats s
t. No other way to put it really.
I have had work carried out by Thames Valley Accident repair in Arkwright Road. They are pretty good and although they are not BMW approved they have approvals from Audi and a few others.
Solus in Basingstoke have carried out work on my RX8 twice to a good standard.
Might be worth asking Cooper who they use if they dont do it in house. I think one of the bodyshops down Portman Road is BMW approved.
Good luck

Parked up in a fairly empty car park. Come back 3 hours later, rear wheel dented, epic toe-in and a huge scratch on the bumper behind my rear wheel. Went to speak to parking bloke in the parking bloke shed, apparantly the camera footage is only available to view at the county council building. They say I need to report to police first. Go to the police in person the next day, get told that if I report the collision, I will get done for driving off from the scene of an accident, as 24hrs had passed....

My Mum had something similar happen to her car ( a Mazda not a BMW but anyway ) she took it to Kramers at Junction 12 of the M4 and they did an awesome job. Could not tell it had any damage. This was years ago but I still hear good things about them. I'm going to take mine for a quote for a few touches to the hardtop I bought last year, and a few tiny little rust bubbles I don't want to try myself.
I have been lucky enough so far not to need their services to be able to give you a personal review!

Horrible to have that happen, but it reminds of an amusing story from my office..
It had snowed, the car park was empty bar one car.. Member of staff (not me, I hasten to add) arrives in the car park and thinks, "I can't see the lines marking the bays, I'll park next to the other car"..
Yep, you can guess what happens..
Carries a touch too much speed for the conditions, turns into the parking space and understeers straight into the back of the only car in the car park!
He's still not quite lived it down and it happened about 6 years ago!

Its such a pain having to sort out geting your car in to body shops and getting it sorted, oh joy......
Gonna pop to a few places tomorrow hopefully and get some quotes, as weird as it sounds at least its only the drivers door i suppose it could have been the whole side of the car

These guys have a good reputation in Porsche circles and where extremely helpful when I was looking at various 911s that required body work done.
