Windows Vista file explorer help

When ever i open the file explorer, it always by default goes to the following address -

C:\Users\Bean Family\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

It is annoying as hell and why the heck Microsoft thinks i will be storing all my files there is somoething else.

In other versions of Windows I could set the default directory.

How do i do this in Vista?

When you say 'File Explorer' what do you click to get to C:\Users\Bean Family\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu ?

If I go 'Windows Key & E' or My Computer then 'C' [ or D in my case ] all my files are there where I put them.

Explorer shouldnt be doing that but as to the anser make a shortcut :

explorer /select,c:\windows\

or something

Go to the shortcut icon you would normally use to start the explorer.
Right click, and select properties.
Select the shortcut tab in the property page dialog.
Under the edit control "Target" where it says "C:\Windows\explorer.exe" add your desired path. Say "D:\" to get "C:\Windows\explorer.exe D:\"
Apply your changes.
Forget how to do it again.
