Is it me or is Ferrari trying too hard to get the right looks on the 430 replacement 458? Cant make my mind up with the 458.

In the grand scheme of things, I think the 458 is a v pretty car (not seen one in the flesh though). Compared to other Ferraris, I think it does try too hard. I suspect the looks will date quickly

Yes - it is stunning and just think how their previous models like the 360 430 and 612 have all got better with age
It scares me how pretty the 458 might be in 10 yrs and even if it doesn't improve with age its still the best looking fezza
Since the insanely pretty 355

I agree this car confuses me, i dont know what to make of it, the first time i saw the press photo it blew me away i thought it was stunning...then i saw some pictures that made it look quite ugly..then i saw it at Frankfurt and just thought it looked ok, but now im over it and it looks kind of dated already these are reactions i have never had to a car before, after such a short period of time. Weird.

not keen on the front lights, they don't work at all IMO

but i love the kind of bulkyness of the rear haunches and adore the enzo-esque sort of ugliness to the overall visual weight that they have engendered into it

the back looks incredible as well

I dont know about you but i think the 430 is a bit more layed back than the 458, i think the 458 has some agressive lines. As you can see from this picture of the 430 layed back. As opposed to the following picture that looks like it wants to eat your face.

+1

The 360 and 430s are nice, but for me, they were never as pretty as the 355. I think they've got it spot on with the 458! It looks slightly Enzo-ishh which can only be a good thing.

My mind is not made up on the looks of the 458 or the MP4-12C.
