I've just bought a set of locking wheel nuts, the ones with the 3 pin lock and spinning outer. What torque setting should I use when fitting these?

I've got the same type and I just do them up to slightly less than normal wheel nuts. You could check the packaging in case they say different, but I'd suggest around 30 lb-ft will be about right.

74 lbs ft or from memory 100 nm. Also from experience you would be better off binning your Tri-locks in favour of some multi-edge variety security bolts , the Tri-locks will let you down eventually !!

The 3 pin bolts I had for my VeeDub were when Charlie Browns replaced a tyre. The holes in the bolt got larger and hence the key fitted in any direction, meaning that ANY key fitted in any direction so why bother?

VW replaced them under warranty but I would get something a bit different next time (and never trust tyre fitters with anything that wouldn't survive a nuclear holocaust)
