Insurance mis-selling?
Discussion
Not sure if here's the best place, but other may have come across it.
When I took out my mortgage 9 years ago, I took out 2 insurance policies to cover death and critical illness.
I won't go into figures, but always wondered if I was getting good cover for what I was paying.
Spoke to my "new" insurance providers the other day and he suggested that one of the policies was worthless and not sure why I had it. Turns out it's a endowment policy which is linked to share price etc. Over the years, I've paid £x into it, and it's now worth less that 50% of the payments to it. Looking at the figures, removing share prices etc, they're taking more than 50% out in running costs.
Does anybody know if I have scope to claim for mis-selling and if so, who the best people are to talk to. I guess the dredded "no-win-no-fee" would be the best course of action, but it's not injury and not ppi that seems to be the rage at the moment.
TIA
