The SAS guy seemed quite slow in acquiring targets and taking them out...

Saw it in the ps3 thread. it's really good even though Jason is rather slow!

The SAS guy was quicker but did seem to take a while to shoot at targets hehe He did a far better job that I could do in real life mind! Could beat Jason though tongue out

He's a PC keyboard/mouse MW2 gamer usually. So using it on a 360 may have been to slow him down because a gamer on a control system they know could do it in half the time of the real SAS guy.

Edited to add, I remember him asking (or moaning smile) about xbox controllers but it might have been to review MW2 when it first came out.

Pointless challenge.

He was a professional and firing from cover whereas the presenter was running like a loon at targets in open ground and even admitted to running into an area where he became trapped... I imagine the presenter would have an edge having practiced that level over and over and over.
If the soldier was using a standard 30 round mag he could have done the course without reloading, so long as he found each target, but I think it's more likely from his background that he would double tap all targets whereas the presenter fired on full auto a couple of times and probably wasted ammo.

The challenge may have been pointless but it was only meant as fun. Obviously someone running through a game spraying from the hip will be quicker than a person having to aim and run in real life. He said on his blog after the show about his mistake mentioning GOW in his FPS list.

Bloody call arena they made though! biggrin

If hes not usually a 360 gamer, 35 seconds is quick!

I wish they had something like that set up for Paintball, where you get to run through and try to set the fastest time, that would be awesome.

It would have been interesting to swap them around for a return match. Put Jason in the real life pit with a paintball and the special forces guy on the Xbox...

I watched this and something seemed very odd. The guy seemed to change a few times I dont think their was just 1 "sf" guy. It was good though in the fun sense.

I think it would have been fun to see them switch around. Maybe doing a best of 3.
