I friend of mine used to be a pro-golfer, and on a 'celebrity day', had Ron Atkinson (or somebody similar) in his middle-aged years turn up in a Lotus Esprit. He got out, walked around the car, and opened the door for a young, leggy blonde to get out of the passenger seat. He then wandered over to the golfers waiting for him, gave them a wink, and said "Life's good lads". Respect! He was a thoroughly decent chap apparently, self deprecating and full of beans.
