calling all dyno graphs!

Yes please completely standard, all 3 cats 435 cam, standard plenum trumpets basically as per they came from the factory thanks

I have this old one which was a comparrison between catted and decated, engine ect was as it left the factory,.............. before I started fiddling

They all appear to be within a few BHP / LBF of each other... my results were done in 3rd gear but looking at the others, it don't appear to matter much...

Here's my '98 500. 40 000 miles, no mods other than smooth induction pipes. Original, but apparently healthy cam.



It shows both before (faint lines) and after (bold lines) an ECU remap.

It seems very similar to the others posted here.

Actually, on closer inspection mine seems a little down on torque compared to the other graphs. Why would that be?

I forgot to mention mine still has all 3 cats - I haven't got round to removing the pre-cats yet.

302 bhp - all standard cam, ignition, map and throttle body. 2 Blokes sat in boot obviously.

Standard, + Bosch AFM + Smooth Bore + MA Chip + Fat bloke at the wheel (ha ha)

Have heard that a white strip will add +20bhp

Nothing standard about that its still pulling at 6k
can you post your torque curve?

My Old Engine figures;
BHP-Stock induction with mc1 cam(ran lean at 5k hence that is where the run terminates

We got the (very worn) cam out of it this summer and apparently it was a standard TVR one! The car was a demonstrator for Henley so perhaps it was assembled with more "care" by the factory? The torque was hampered by incorrect timing that pegged it quite low but we ran out of RR time and it was going in for a service afterwards anyway.



I notice you used the same RR down by Dulfords. Did you believe it to be as accurate as Richard did? Either way the shape isn't going to change! I need to go back really as I changed the cam and dizzy some months ago and it feels so much better now than it ever did then.

That is one sweet torque curve I think with these 5 ltr engines the porting work is critical to getting good figures. When mine was stripped down it was very apparent that Power had done a significant amount additional porting and polishing to my heads and inlet manifold. Maybe with your's being a demonstrator it too had the additional porting work carried out. The other thing we noticed with my engine was my trumpets tubes were bigger than the 46mm typically seen, when we offered up SC-Powers trumpet rings, the fell in.
Yep same r/r which Andy Race has used for his racecar and his print outs are pretty close to his data logger figures at the wheels. (that being said, at fly figures are a best guess fudged figure output from the r/r and the "at wheels" figure should be the ones to look at, but we all like the bigger at fly bragging figures ).

Yup!

The operator told me it was "about 260 at the wheels" which would be cock on for 15%.
I initially thought he meant flywheel and remarked how it wasn't *too* bad I suppose!
