Hi All,

I'm going to sound like a total dunce, but the 4200 / Spyder engine does have variable valve timing, right?

I first thought it certainly would have, but as an afterthought googled it to check, but nothing obvious. Now I have the gnashers of doubt nibbling at my very core....

I've had a look at the diagrams on Eurospares, which point to a 'Variator' and other odd parts to do with 'Variator', controls, etc. But this is the same parts catalogue that refers to the roof as the 'Capote', so I don't really know who to trust!

If anybody knows for certain, could they confirm?

Thanks!

The 4200 has a single phase variator on the induction cam of each bank, i.e. variable timing on the inlet valves. nerd

You're no more a dunce than I am. I knew it had one variator per bank but couldn't remember whether it was inlet or outlet.
