Cardboard police cut-outs have been used in shops for a while, for deterring shop-lifting.

But £100 quid each ?! Bloodyhell - nick the cut-out !!

Don't worry, they are currently working on cardboard fireman and extinguishers.

We have one of these in the local offy. All it does is make the passage way thinner so I risk getting pick pocketed by the roughians that buy their white lightening there.

I seem to remember one of our local forces trying something similar with cut out motorway patrol cars on bridges over the motorway.

The effect was spoiled somewhat, as I've never seen a Volvo hover 2 foot off the ground when parked!

fking hell, someone saw them coming. I have a new business investment for anyone who is interested. I'm going to make Cardboard Soldiers that can be sent to Afghanistan and charge the MOD £90 a pop for them.

When I saw "Carboard Police Officers" I assumed that the thread was about PCSOs!

I have never shoplifted but if I was thinking about it and I saw the big cut-out then it would make me think twice.
