Does anyone know whether AA/RAC provides this service?

suppose you broke down... that would be unfortunate, especially if you had to take it a distance to your preferred mechanic.

S1mon.

Nope not breakdown... need to load a couple of my cars into a container to be exported.

The shippers seems to charge quite a large amount, wonder if there's any other way to do it cheaper.

Might be a silly question, but can they not put the container on the ground, and you drive the cars in, then strap them down?

I thought that but they also seem to load the cars right onto the container when it's on the lorry.

I'd guess that once 2 cars are in the container, it'll be quite a job to lift it on to a lorry?

Is there nowhere near you that has those ramps they use to get forklifts into the back of containers?

This is an old thread I know but we provide this service all the time. Just need a 10/12 tonne recovery vehicle with air suspension to load them.

Not really considering how little two cars will weigh 4 tons max.

Also can you take the cars t the container instead of taking the container to the cars

We export cars all the time (so far this year 4 to Hong Kong, 2 to Thailand, 1 to Singapore, 1 to New Zealand, 2 to Germany) and always load the cars into their containers on the level, with a lot of the stuff we're selling the front lips are too low to get up any kind of ramp anyway.
