scanner needed, A4 size max.....

Can anyone recommend me a scanner to scan a maximum size piece of paper of A4.... The scanner will be used for reciepts/invoices only, so needs to be of high quality and also it needs to be NOT A FLATBED scanner.

I would like to read people reviews on small scanners and what to avoid like the plague.

I'd personally go for a flatbed, tbh. I know you said not, but the bottom end of the market are all much of a muchness, and scanning receipts is a PITA at the best of times. A nice flat glass surface at least gets rid of the curliness.

Other than that, what's wrong with a camera?

I was thinking that and then putting it into low res mode and just blitzing them all, might look at that option as well and see what the photos are like, just in normal mode its 3mb per image

It will be used for recipet and invoices so assume that its roughly 30-40 a month (or at the moment 200+ until im on top of it)

I need it to be high enough quality that I can just set the scanner to it and then not worry about creases, etc or written invoices not showing properly.

Budget aint an issue, if the one I need costs £100-150 then so be it.

So you need a scanner with a document feeder and not a flatbed? I use a Canon Pixma MP700 MFP, which is a printer/scanner/fax with a document feeder. It also has an Ethernet port and great software that lets you stick a wad of papers in the feeder, and scan directly to a machine on your network.

Highly recommended.

forgot to say it needs to be MAC compatible as im awkward... couldnt find much about if they are MAC compatible.
