When I picked up my track car, a modified MR2 Mk1 (stripped, caged, new lower suspension etc) I put a set of Toyo 888s on (185/60/R14 GG compound) which have done a track day at Rockingham and 30 mins of testing at Brands so they have a fair bit of meat left. I then started racing the car so had to ditch the 888s for Silverstone tyres so I've now got my Toyo's cluttering up the garage.
Is there a market for selling used track tyres as I know these are quite small, or do people generally prefer new tyres for track days or selling old tyres already on wheels?

I don't think they've hardened, they still seemed pretty soft when I looked at the weekend. Any idea what sort of price I should sell for, or if to sell them in 2s or 4s?
Cheers
Twos work well as parcel companies carry two at a time for about £15 if you want to offer this as well as local pick up. I'd also try westfield/7 forums as they use 14 inch often. Regarding price - not sure. See what they are new from someone like camskill or demon tweeks and prorata based on remaining wear.Cheers
Good luck
Got the camera out and took some photos and posted the advert here

Hope I got the price about right

I buy part worn R888's to use as road tyres and intermediates for track use as I also have full slicks and wets. I pay about £20-30 per half worn tyre which is a bargain compared to the £170+ each they are new for a 225/45R17.
Where do you go for part worns? I've been struggling to find some for my track car...powerhand said:

If they are 6.5” rather than 7” would 205’s fit?
Is there a cheaper alternative to 888 that are better than TR1’s for track days?
Noticed hankook are quite cheap, anyone tried them on track?

I have the hankooks on my E36 M3 and have ran them on road/track/nurburgring.
They give good grip in the dry. Not so great in the wet.
The beemer is a heavy car, the tread wear on the rs2 is 200 so you can chew the tyres up if you are pushing hard.
I am not sure how the compound will work on a lighter car, they should be ok.
I would not expect them to be in same league as r888's for dry grip though.
