Modding car for the first time!
Discussion
Hello
I'm having some subtle changes made to my WRX and am very excited as I've never properly had anything done before, just a silly loud exhaust. It will all be done by Tuesday at this place:
www.greenwoodracing.co.uk
which has a very good reputation.
Mods: sports cat and de-cat, deresonated centre section, new backbox, high flow filter, STI spec C intercooler and remap.
Not going to make huge gains as I already have PPP but should go from 266bhp / 310 lbft to 290 bhp / 350 lbft.
Hoping that the increase in torque and smoother power delivery is going to make a really noticeable difference. Has anyone else done similar mods to a WRX and what were your thoughts if so...?
Not looking to get any more power out of it, just wanted a bit more power and noise as it wasn't quite quick enough and I think this should do it without going OTT.

I had a 03 Impreza STI 2.0 and I then had the PPP put on it - went from 265 to 300…. Very noticeable in the way it drove ! - bit like night and dayI'm having some subtle changes made to my WRX and am very excited as I've never properly had anything done before, just a silly loud exhaust. You will notice a big difference in the way the power is delivered.
Which exhaust have you gone for a GRD own spec exhaust or have you gone for something louder.. James sorted my impreza before i had to sell the blooming thing.
Still saving the pennies for a 05 Plate Sti, and it will be back there for tuning. I am planning to have atleast 380Bhp when i can get afford it!
He is also a good driver http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HMeU82nKpk

Prodrive sports cat and 2nd de-cat and afterburner centre section and Ninja II backbox. Should be suitably throbby!!! (the 2.5 litre cars as standard miss the subaru flat four noise)
