Just thought id share my new leon, extremely happy with it even tho insurance is a killer at 19, so much more go than my previous saxo vtr and MG ZR, but its also so refined and well built compared to them, looking at getting it remapped shortly and adding sone ARB to sort the suspension aswell as the cupra r front splitter ive added.

Which ZR did you have before? Young so I'm guessing the 105 or the 120?

Nice looking leon!

just a 105, great handling car and such a revvy engine, this seems a bit flat after 4000 compared to it.

You're right. This one looks much better (all in my honest opinion, of course).

its been a while since ive updated this, so thought it was about time. Ive changed a few things, been remapped that made a great differance, just need to get a forge 007p diverter valve now to match it as the standard items not up to the job and sometimes puts it into limp mode but that will be changed soon. just got back from USC at santapod where on my first ever time on a strip i ran 14.9 which i was quite pleased with and sure i could have improved this, even with the dodgy DV. so heres a few more pictures.

theres been a few other changes such as carbon numberplates, S3 TFSI coilpacks as the standard ones couldnt cope with the remap, few stickers as you can probably see including the pistonheads one lol, cupra r splitter, and probably a few others ive forgotton.

Dont bother with the Forge diverter, it's a waste of money. Audi did a replacement part (from the TT Sport I believe) that's just as effective and cheaper.

TT sport had the same DV as all the others.

How much do you pay if you don't mind me asking? I got my FR TDi when I was 19 and ended up paying over 3 times what I pay now I'm 22! frown

Also, if you somehow haven't yet, get yourself registered on the SeatCupra.Net forums.

A friend of mine, also 19 has an Ibiza Cupra similar age to your Leon, modded to the hills with about 240 bhp. Absolutely nuts redface

yeahh tbh insurance is a joke at nearly 2.5k a year, but i wasnt going to get it cheaper at 19, next year ive told myself i wont be paying over 1k for insurance so will most likely mean getting something cheaper to run. but i would have regretted it if i didnt and i pay for it all myself so everyone to their own and all that.

still undecided on the DV, thanks people

Mine was 2300 when I was 19 eek I got a quote from a comparison site for about £1600, but when I went back to it (having bought the car) there was no reference number and they actually wanted over £4k!?!

Wasn't too bad after that though - I think it was 2300>1600>800 and I've just started a new policy which is £650 with my (few) modification declared, so there's hope yet for your premiums! haha

I thought the later 1.8t's used a different diverter, to remedy the issues with earlier ones failing?

I think i recognise that Corsa you blew off at the strip!

Are the alloys standard? They look a bit modest considering its a cupra

Nice car though dude smile
