Driving to Paris or nearby...

I'm heading to Paris at the end of June / early July but have now been offered a place on a Nurburgring trip the weekend before. My initial thought was of course to combine the two, drive from Nurburg to somewhere near Paris and hop on a train/metro into the city centre where I'm staying.
My question is where does one leave a car near Paris for 4 days? I am looking at perhaps Orly or Charles de Gaulle airports or perhaps 'Le Park et Ride' somewhere outside the Peripherique. I can't park where I'm staying as my travel companions have bagged the only space.
What are people's experiences and suggestions? The only other thing is to park somwhere further out but on a practical high speed train route. What would you say?
