996 Targa or C4?

Question posted on behalf of my dad...
He's after a 996, and has decided on either a Carerra 4 coupe or a targa.
At the moment he's swaying towards the targa as he likes the idea of the clever roof (although I've teased him that his toupee might blow off
). Also, the C4 has a LOT less luggage space.
Tiptronic is also a must.
One of the C4's he's seen has optional sports suspension, which he is worried might be a little too hard for everyday use.
Question is really, does anyone know of strengths and weaknesses of these two models, is the tiptronic recommended and has anyone got the sports suspension?

Sports suspention is cool and not to harsh,Targa is very clever in terms if flexible luggage space ie hatch back and the current Targa is alot stiffer than previous models as it is based on the coupe rather than the cab.My choice would be the C4 of the two if you lift out the false floor in the boot and take out the runflat and jack you get 30% more space! a lot of guys do this and keep the compressor and a can of tyre weld.He needs to go to a large OPC and drive them all and maby a C2 and see what he prefers.
