gutted.spa trip cancelled

...having spent close to £700 in preparation for my first circuit day to spa on 1st april, i have just found out that it is cancelled!! due to a tunnel collapse!!!

I'm not sure if i will get a refund based on the following t&c's on the circuit days website:

A refund minus a 15% cancellation charge or a full credit is obtainable should a place be cancelled up to 7 days prior to an event. No refund or credit can be issued after this time

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any bookings without having to disclose the reason

We reserve the right to amend or cancel any event or venue. Under such situations no refunds will be issued. We will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible
#

Where an event is shortened, amended or cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, or circumstances beyond our control, no refunds can be issued
#

Credits for future events may be issued as a goodwill gesture when an event is cancelled. Events where credits are to be used must be declared no later than 1 month prior to the event otherwise the credit cannot be used for that event

They have offered a credit note, but that wont work for me due to work schedule.

Anyone got any experience of trying to get a refund in a similar situation? I am hoping that i can get the refund less 15% if i cancel tomorrow, but not sure if that is an option for them to offer to me, or my right?

oh well, at least the noble will not need any new tyres.

Can you not still attend but take the ferry instead? Dover/Dunkirk on Norfolkline is pretty good.

Check the conditions of the credit note -if it is a decent company then the credit will extend to any track-day(s)they organise, not just another Spa day and should be valid of at least 12 months. That way you get a chance to organise your schedule and have some fun at a later date I would speak to them on the phone (in a polite manner) - I'm sure you'll be OK.
If not, then never use them again and let others know who the company is via the nobleparts site.

...It's the track that has collapsed by the way, not the eurotunnel :-)

Ii just called them, and they have offered a credit note for up to 12 months, but they say that they will extend it if i cant make any of the dates. hey have also thrown in a free evening track session at Silverstone or Brands.

It is worth the rest of you guys planning on going to spa later in the year, checking that there has not been any impact on track sceduling for the rest of the year, as repair works may lead to disruptions in planning for the circuit use...
