Searched for a thread on this, couldn't find anything. There are two two hour docu's on everything from religion to how America is run... Just wondering what people think, it's certainly got me thinking.

I was forced to watch one of those. My friend was pretty gutted when I basically tore it apart. It's utter b
ks. They take many different complex issues and spend a few minutes explaining each - picking up on one or two 'facts' taken out of context to create a story.
I remember the film contradicting itself quite a few times too.
There are *some* valid points in the movie but sadly the rest of the crap spouted only goes to undermine serious issues.

As far as i am aware the religious stuff is totally factual.
I'm just taken back by some of the 'facts' they state about 9/11, and the banks etc... I'd like to be told what's bks and what's not. Did they actually have a terrorist training day on the same day, based on the probability of flying planes into buildings, actually AS the terrorist planes hit the twin towers? And then Bush and the rest give statements saying they had never considered the possibility of terrorist groups using planes as weapons..... Is that true?
Also, did they not find ANY plane wreckage at the Pentagon and the other site, is that just horse st, or is that a fact?
Some of the stuff they have compiled is pretty compelling, the way the buildings and the other buildings came down. I would really like some experts to tell me what's what. I'd like to believe that it's bks, and it most likely is, but can we get to the details please... I'm really keen to know

Ive seen it thought it was worth watching but also alot of crap.
The thing that gets me is when people say oh its great, but its clear to me that some of the editing isnt fair or balanced (like the shortening of sentences to change the meaning etc), that "evidence" is used out of context etc etc.

Remeber that aluminium/plastic (plane) + fuel + massive impact + ignition means 95% of the plane will burn to ash... The only bits left will be the titanium parts which are wheel struts and engine fan blades etc....
There was a 737 crash into a short-grass field in the US years ago. It went up in flames. The aerial pictures afterwards showed a burnt patch in a field - no sign of the plane in any recogniseable way. There wasn't a sniff of tinfoil hats over that!

The bits that made me listen, and i'd still like a definitive answer to... Did the American government have a terrorist training exercise, based on the possibility of terrorists flying planes into buildings, in New York at the same time that the twin towers got hit? And this is what caused the confusion with air traffic control, and allowed the planes to get through?
I know the above doesn't prove bugger all even if it is true, to be fair it only really proves that the terrorists were very well informed, and chose their day accordingly.
But it's strange that afterwards, Bush and his staff all stated that nobody in the CIA, FBI etc had envisaged terrorists using planes as weapons.....Maybe they were just embarrassed?
Or is that part of docu complete fabrication?

That comes from Tom Kenney of FEMA, who said that had search and rescue teams were in NYC for the 10th to be on the ground for 11th Sep. FEMA later stated he got his dates wrong.ks and what's not.
