My OH has just acquired a nice new shiny 70-200 f/2.8 IS Canon zoom lens which he says he might let me use on my 40D if I ask him nicely (though I can guess what that probably means!) laugh

This a new mkII??

Either are cracking lenses btu the new one seems to be a whole new level of wow.

No, the original. New one is still too expensive, despite the reported improvements. Will just have to slum it with the MkI for the time being. wink

Hope you have a good 'un. I bought the same lens and it was Awful, sold it within a month on Ebay, bought 85, 135 & 200 primes insteadbiggrin

Seems fine. I have taken a few photos of my cats, and they're coming out really well. Only problem is I think my use of it is going to be limited because his nibs pretty much has it permanently attached to his camera at the moment. frown
