It isn't as if they got booked on a murder mystery weekend....
But im suprised that the armed response until didnt get involved in this day and age when every child has a mobile phone.
With a bit of thought and planning this could have been a great way of engaging the pupils, soco could have also been approached for advice and possibly attending to help out with the class.
