Chimaera servicing
Discussion
Probe1053,
I've not yet used County TVR to service the Griff but they do a great job on the 'shopping trolley Mazda'. I used them to MOT the Griff and they all seem to be enthusiasts. (They also sell Mazda and Brabus and used to do Merc).
BTW, have you thought of joining TVR c3c (Cotswold 3 Counties) Group www.tvrcc-c3c.co.uk/?

Hi
,
I too am in the Forest of Dean, Ruspidge, near Cinderford) I now take my Chim 450 to County TVR Cheltenham.
My MoT cost under £20 last year, and I rang a couple of weeks ago to ask (well,, plead!!) them to fit my car in for a battery replacement and a boot lock that has stopped working, as my battery had died and I was to start a new job the following Monday. Fit me in they did, and to my suprise, when they rang me, I was not greeted with a bank balance threatening bill,,, but,,, 'oh, we'll settle up once we have sorted your boot lock out, as we have to order it and it wont be with us for a couple of weeks'!!
They said there was nothing wrong with my battery, it was low due to lack of use over these cold months,, they charged it up fully for me,, for nothing!!!
So, thus far I have been to County TVR twice, and not spent over £20 as yet,, even had an Xmas card off them,, signed by all the staff,,, so,,,,,, so far,, so good,,, and the less we say about my fiancee's MGZR dealer, the better,, but that's another story!

Just bought a 1994 4ltr.I live in the Forest of Dean and am thinking of taking the car to Webbs Auto's, at Nailsea. Any feedback on this TVR Independant please.

Had mine serviced there a few times. Overall I was happy enough. Biggest advantage to me is a courtesy car. However I did notice that some things needed doing last year that I didn't do, didn't need doing this year...
Anyway, they, er, frustrated me a little last service, so I think I'll try County next time, much closer to me and sound good from reading this thread.
Spread your custom around, try 'em all!
Cheers,
Andy
