Hi all

As above just some recommendations please , its only in a 2bedroom flat so its not getting stretched to far. Some i have looked at seem expensive and others bit cheaper but seem to do the same job

If anyone can point me in the right direction with regards to makes price etc
much appreciated

Netgear £30-50 should be perfect for what you want.

As above regarding a basic wireless router, but it depends whether you want to do anything that's slightly more fancy (wireless printing or wirelessly streaming music to a HiFi / Home Cinema system for example) as well. An Apple Airport Express: http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MB321B/A/AirPort... (£81) is perfect for the latter. I use one at home (the old model), it took 5 minutes to set-up and in the 4 years I've had it, I've never had a problem with it.

...shame I couldn't say the same about the local telephone exchange.

Our house is five storeys. When we moved in three years ago, I found that it needed two Netgear wireless access points to extend coverage from the BT HomeHub. Now I have an Apple Airport Extreme on the ground floor and it covers the whole house on its own.

Its just to run a couple of laptops from the tower so its for real basic needs.
Am going to get the one below - if anyone has something better for the price let me know - if not thanks for your replies guys

It may be worth you switching providers to take advantage of the free routers many of them give out. We switched to O2 recently and they sent out a free router that we now use, plus they were cheaper than our last isp.
