Well server all migrated and contents copied while keeping the permissions using xcopy. Now need to know if there is an easy way to transfer POP3 mail from a local machine into a central user IMAP folder.

I am thinking of changing people over to IMAP but I want to get rid of local folders on their Outlook express and replicate what they had in IMAP folders so they don't notice too much.

Any thoughts

James,

I'm not sure I understand that one. Presumably you have downloaded mail (via pop3) previously, not leaving a copy of the server. You now want to put the downloaded information back on a server using IMAP/to be read using IMAP?

It's inefficient, but you could always drag, in Outlook, the mail from your old POP folder heirarchy into the IMAP folders.

I've tried this on both my Mac (Apple Mail) and my PC (Outlook 2003) and it works just fine.

Efficient it isn't though.

It's not terribly inefficient; your data is currently on your workstations are you need it on the server so uploading it via IMAP would seem to be a sensible way to do it. However, it would mean your users doing it themselves!
