Removing wax from black plastic

Done a quick search but nothing turned up
I have some black plastic with ingrained white wax. Ive tried some of those back to black type cleaners but they tend to leave some wax there, then black over it

What's the best thing to clean out the wax first petrol, terps, meths

choice really

panel wipe from bodyshop suppliers ,
All Purpose cleaner (APC) with nail brush or small detail brushes
Tar and glue remover (all thou with some caution)
Peanut butter (the nut oils really do work)
wax remover .

even washing up liquid strong mix with water then nail brush in will work

Is peanut butter oil as good as or better than the usual brands in a bottle?
How long does it last?
