Anyone who wants to see some recent footage of a lap around the ring, here is some from last weekend in a friend's gt3.

Sounds to me like a racing (dog) box. Shift light on the dash. Up changes nice and smooth, but something sounds wrong on the down shifts that it crashes so much (adjustments needed?)

or it could just be like the system we were talking about a few weeks ago where you still have to use the clutch and he just isnt bothering....

He ll find out when the gears are all sitting in the middle of the road and he's looking all confused!!!!!!!!!!

That's right, undeniable Straight Cut gear whine. Crunches down are pretty standard I thought..

Sounds normal, but I have never driven a straight-cut gear box. Seems it would be less painful if down shifts were accompanied with a throttle blip. It doesn't sound like there's any heel-toe activity. Maybe heel-toe is not appropriate with straight-cut?

Yes, it is a Dog Box, just bang it up through the gears, no clutch needed and you can bang it down also without clutch if you like, we used to use them in Mini Se7ens and Miglias when I used to race

I do enjoy watching a lap of the ring, have not been there for a couple of years. There has been a bit off work done out there in the last year or so. will have to go back soon

This is the best "0n board" lap I have seen ever. How to handle a straight cut box...

Stealth B6 best on a Qualy lap..... just shows what a hand built car from a small company can do with a good driver.......
