Evening guys,

Just wanted to ask if anyone on here knew the best place to sell an '05 E46 M3 Coupe. The is currently consigned to a dealer to sell but I have another coming soon and would like to let mine go sooner rather than later.
It has just had an inspection 2 service done including fluids change, so is completely ready to go.
Anyone on here aware of trade dealers buying stock?

Thanks in advance

It's a lovely looking car, but a tad optimistic with the price. 6 weeks ago, I sold my similarly spec'd 55 plate M3 with BMW warranty for £17,750. That was a private sale and I thought that I did reasonably well. smile

Dream on at that price, you need to shave at least £4k of that if you want to shift it, BMW UK have cheaper ones eek

Thanks for your input guys, just going to have the price reduced in the next few days.
But, are there any trade buyers looking for stock?

Slightly off the original thread (so apologies for that!) but does anyone know whether trade guides such as Glasses Guide quote different prices for the M3CS as opposed to the standard M3? If so roughly what's the difference between the two? Been thinking of selling mine and just curious what sort of premium the CS is likely to command over the standard car (if any!). When I talked to my main dealer a few months back they told me that the CS "doesn't book separately" but somehow I think it would if they were trying to sell one!

It will be worth a shade more, if I was in the market I would be willing to pay £2k more for a similar spec standard M3, but dont be expecting a huge price difference otherwise you will be like the OP and will not be able to sell.

Thanks for that, I felt a price difference of around 10% would be there or thereabouts and that probably squares with your figure of £2k. I think Mattoz said he sold his 55 plate car for just under £18k recently and I'd be thinking (hoping!) for around £2k on top of that for my CS if I sold it privately.

10% is about right IMO. 18k is about as low as they've got, with most still around the 20-22k mark.

As ever it's all about condition and to a lesser extent mileage and spec. Being honest I think the only E46 M3 coupes that are likely to make over £20k on a private sale are now CSL's although a low mileage, mint condition, high spec CS might as well. I think mine's a pretty good example and it has FBMWSH, a good spec and extended BMW warranty; however, it's my daily driver and next week will probably clock 50k miles. Therefore, being realistic, the price wouldn't start with a 2!

Ah. I think you're right.

Colour also seems to be a factor. As well as manual vs SMG The >20k cars I've seen have significantly less miles.
