Just done an oil and filter change on the 350, and gave it a check over before the MOT on Monday and noticed a split in the o/s upper BJ boot.

Can anyone confirm if the part is Cortina or Granada sourced please?

Cheers , I've actually got my local Unipart place to source me one as per the part number on the TVR Wedge pages.

Grease nipples would be handy as a sign for the possibility of it being good quality parts. It seems that if greased for life and no nipple, the life of it on a wedge can be rather sort....
If the originals are still on, they are riveted. Replacement nuts and bolts should come with the ball joint. Not to difficult to remove by just drilling without damaging the wishbone. Must add that I had the wishbones of the wedge to replace them, while doing the bushes as well.

Only took aout 20 minutes to swap them over. Just needed a couple of 13mm sockets, a 20mm ring spanner, a ball joint splitter and a bloody big hammer.

PS it is the one from a tina. The box has a cross reference to a QH part number on it.

Hi guys,
If the ball joints are cortina, does that mean that the stub axel and bearings are too? if this is the case is it possible to change the granada hubs to tina ones for easier fitment of wheels? Not sure about the backs though.
I dont need them but always wondered.

Stub axle and bearings are granada ( only one bearing equals cortina....).
Granada hub to have 5 studs for proper sportscar wheel fixing. Why change it, seems ok to me?

Yes, Cortina stub axle is 4 stud.

Cortina axle had Timken roller bearing, not sure what Granada had.

Granada bearing maybe bigger/stronger too, as it would have had to carry more weight. scratchchin

It was also £9 from the motor factor (Granada bearing that is.)
