there are rumours it could be 4 wheel drive.the 4x4 kuga is advalable with 2.5 5 pot volvo lump so its on the cards.
it also explains the delay for the mountune upgrade for the existing rs dont think we will see that till after production of the 500 but i have bought a couple of spare tyres for the front just in case

I sincerely doubt it will become 4wd......if they didnt go to the bother for the main production due to costs there is no way they will bother for a limited run of 500 not with some sort of gigantic price hike anyway.

As for the mountune ur probably right there.

a good source has told me that is fwd and it has the same mountune power upgrade as the kit for the existing rs this is going to announced at the time as the 500 is launced .ford have done this so they have another go at ring record for fwd and to do this it has to be a production car hence the 500.
350-360 bhp sounds good

It's a shameless rip-off of the RS500 moniker though. Hardcore, handbuilt genuine evolution special vs. marketing stunt to shift the last of Focus Mk2s. Sad...

They did the same with the 'run-out' of the Mk2 Focus ST (before the facelifted Mk2.5 came along). The 'ST500' was black only, red leather, no performance upgrades. Also ALL the cars said '1 of 500' on a plaque on the dashboard; you wouldn't believe how many people thought they'd got 'No.1 / 500' rather than just 'one of 500 cars'..

Bit miss leading this RS 500 badge , as if i was splashing the cash on one i'd want it to be 500bhp , and not some production run 500 in black , sorry , but to me its another ford sales item .
And being only 370bhp , ford are a bit late as thats already been done and more , so whats the point ???

And before i get a sledging , i started with fords and yes i'd have a white rs focus if i had the cash ....

nah there are 306 gti's that have 500 bhp with a little work they are OK.
