Has anyone got any experience of changing the oil pressure gauge sender in the block?

I presume that once removed it will be oil everywhere and require an oil change?

Cheers

I changed it on my old Wedge.

I was preparing for an oil volcano and was quite pleased to find that not even a dribble came out. oooh-err wink

Engine was stone cold.

Let the engine oil settle. You'll get more out of the hose then the block if it is a mechanical gauge. Use petroleum (or propane) thread tape on the new one.

Shaun, mine has always played up a bit. Bit of a bugger to get at but not a difficult job. Took mine off and cleaned it with some degreaser and then atf. put it back on and it reads just fine.
